Texas All-State Orchestra Audition
Preparatory Course for Double Bass
A group class designed to prepare high school Double Bass students auditioning for the 2026-2027 TMEA All-Region and All State Orchestras.
Full Description
This intensive 6-week summer course is designed to fully prepare high school double bassists for the TMEA All-Region and All-state Orchestra auditions. The primary objective is to ensure students enter the fall auditions with both confidence and a comprehensive understanding of the required audition repertoire. We will meticulously study and master the required etudes and excerpts, focusing on accurate fingerings and bowings, alongside foundational scale and arpeggio exercises, and essential bowing techniques applicable to the music. The course will conclude with several mock auditions to simulate realistic performance situations. Students will be sent a packet of exercises and music to prepare before the first class and will be given practice assignments and goals to work on between class sessions.
The Class begins July 7th and runs through August 13th. It meets 2x per week from 10am-12pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Click the above link for more details!

Adult Choir
We’ll explore a mix of classic SATB choral arrangements and popular repertoire in a relaxed, supportive environment. Whether you’re experienced or just getting started, you’re welcome here—no prior singing experience required (but helpful!). This is for adults only. The choir will begin June 8th, and run twice weekly from 6-7PM on Mondays and Thursdays. The semester will run through July 30th, and conclude with a live performance!
Expert Coaching
Our experienced teachers will guide you through every aspect of performance, from mastering song repertoire, to learning about stage presence. We will provide valuable feedback and support to our campers to feel confident and empowered on stage!
Collaborate and Learn
Learn how to work as a team, communicate musically with other players, and develop your sound together.
